Qualifications
Registry eligible with the ARDMS required.
Technologist must complete the physics and one specialty registry within one year of hire date.
Must have completed all required coursework from an accredited institution recognized by the ARDMS.
Must be proficient in Vascular, abdominal, OB, ECHO, and small parts imaging.
BLS healthcare required within 30 days of hire.
Responsibilities
Provide care to all patients according to Imaging Services policy.
Demonstrate advanced knowledge and competence in the operation of Sonography.
Produce diagnostic medical, cardiac, and vascular Sonography.
Identify abnormalities and report findings to a radiologist.
Perform imaging procedures independently and interpret orders.
Assist the radiologist during special procedures requiring sterile technique.
Generate patient requisitions and manage patient records.
Transport patients as needed to and from Imaging services.
Follow directions from physicians and supervisors efficiently.
Demonstrate competency in performing the job duties.
