Job summary

Providence Swedish Medical Center in Edmonds, WA is seeking an Ultrasonographer to provide diagnostic ultrasound across breast, abdominal, obstetrical and gynecological exams and to assist with procedures using ultrasound guidance. The ideal candidate will have ultrasound training, ARDMS eligibility, BLS certification, and progress toward ARDMS certification within 12 months; breast ultrasound experience

Description

The Ultrasonographer provides diagnostic patient care services using ultrasound on all patient age populations. Diagnostic examinations may be performed on breast, abdominal, obstetrical, gynecological and other areas. The ultrasound professional also assists with various procedures during which ultrasound is utilized. The ultrasonographer is responsible for performing and communicating results of examinations.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: Successful completion of Ultrasound training program
• Education sufficient to meet eligibility requirements to take American Registry of Diagnostic Ultrasonographers (ARDMS) registry examination
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• Within 1 year of hire: National Certification from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography
• Experience sufficient to meet eligibility requirements to take American Registry of Diagnostic Ultrasonographers (ARDMS) registry examination

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous breast ultrasound experience
