Job summary

Mallard MSO, LLC is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist for the Rosetta Imaging center on the Upper East Side, a Northwell Health affiliate. This full-time role performs a variety of ultrasound exams, including body and breast imaging, and supports radiologists during biopsy procedures.

The ideal candidate will have graduated from an accredited Ultrasound Technology program and be ARDMS certified, with prior ultrasound technologist experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program.
• Certified with ARDMS
• Previous experience as a Ultrasound Technologist, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs thorough screening of patients prior to procedure.
• Prepares patient for exam by placing and positioning patient on exam table.
• Enters patient history data and other pertinent information obtained from a requisition completed by the Radiologist/Clinician to include anatomical area of interest.
• Performs US procedures to include: abdominal, breast, general, biopsies, etc.
• Recognizes and promptly reports patient's motor abnormalities; including, fainting, discoloration, contrast reactions etc., to the nearest Radiologist/Clinician.
• Performs minor repairs and frequent calibration checks and adjusts equipment, when necessary.
