Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina (MUHA) is seeking an entry-level Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations on patients ranging from children to adults. The role requires knowledge of anatomy, physiology and image acquisition that supports physician interpretation.

Qualified candidates will have graduation from an accredited sonography program and ARRT/ARDMS certification with current BLS; 20 hours per week, hourly pay, and opportunities within CHS - Ultrasound

Qualifications

• ARRT(S) or ARDMS certification required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Graduation from an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound examinations for interpretation by a physician on children, adolescents and adults.
• Ensure high quality imaging and proper anatomical positioning during procedures.

Education: Graduation from an accredited school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Experience: One year experience performing ultrasound scans preferred. Required Registration/Certification

• Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (S) or Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider
