Cook Children’s Health Care System in Prosper, Texas is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform quality ultrasound examinations under the direction of a Licensed Independent Practitioner (LIP).

The ideal candidate will have an accredited Medical Sonography Program, ARDMS/ARRT(S) registry eligibility, and at least 3 years of ultrasound experience. Weekend shift is Fri-Sun, with 12‑hour days, 36 hours per week, staff position.

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited Medical Sonography Program by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs
• Three years of ultrasound experience preferred
• ARDMS or ARRT(S) registry eligible; ARDMS must be completed within 18 months of hire; AHA Certification

Responsibilities

• Perform quality ultrasound examinations under the direction of a Licensed Independent Practitioner (LIP)
• Utilize advanced clinical and technical knowledge to provide safe, quality procedures
• Provide direct patient care spanning from neonatal to young adult patients

Summary:

This position is responsible for performing quality ultrasound examinations at the direction of a Licensed Independent Practitioner (LIP). Sonographer utilizes application of advanced clinical and technical knowledge to provide safe quality procedures aligned with Cook Children's values and Our Promise. This position is accountable for providing direct patient care and maintaining expertise for all ages spanning from neonatal/newborn to young adults. The patient acuity ranges from stable outpatients to critically ill patients on full life support.

Schedule:

First Shift, Fri-Sun, 6:30am-7pm.
Qualifications:

• Completion of accredited Medical Sonography Program by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs

• Three years of ultrasound experience preferred
