Job summary

The Judge Group is seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist to join our imaging team in Houston, TX. The role focuses on breast ultrasound and related imaging, maintaining a high-volume but meticulous schedule with minimal supervision while delivering excellent patient care and diagnostic images.

You will perform exams, prepare and educate patients, document findings in the EMR, and collaborate with radiologists and providers.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
• Experience in breast, abdominal, OB/GYN and vascular ultrasound.
• Ability to work independently with sound clinical judgement.
• Excellent patient care and communication skills; high-volume scheduling.
• Experience with Epic EMR for scheduling and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams with breast focus.
• Review provider orders prior to exams and prepare patients.
• Acquire accurate diagnostic images for radiologist review.
• Document and file imaging records in the EMR system.
• Communicate urgent findings to providers as required.
• Maintain exam rooms and ultrasound equipment; ensure infection control.
• Monitor supplies and restock as needed; collaborate with staff.

Title: Ultrasound Technologist
Location: Houston, TX 77096
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (5 days/week)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly independent Ultrasound Technologist to join our imaging team in Houston, TX. This role requires a skilled professional with strong expertise in diagnostic ultrasound, particularly breast ultrasound and breast-related imaging. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing a full patient schedule with minimal supervision while delivering exceptional patient care and producing high-quality diagnostic images.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations with a significant focus on breast imaging.
• Review and verify provider orders prior to exams.
• Prepare, educate, and position patients appropriately for procedures.
• Acquire accurate diagnostic images for radiologist interpretation.
• Complete documentation and imaging records within the EMR system.
• Communicate urgent or significant findings to providers as required.
• Maintain examination rooms and ultrasound equipment.
• Ensure proper disinfection of probes and adherence to infection control standards.
• Monitor and restock supplies as needed.
• Collaborate effectively with radiologists, providers, and clinical staff.

Note: This location does not perform biopsies or ultrasound-guided procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
• Strong experience performing:
  • Breast Ultrasound
  • Abdominal Ultrasound
  • OB/GYN Ultrasound
  • Vascular Ultrasound
• Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions.
• Excellent patient care and communication skills.
• Experience managing a high-volume schedule with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency with Epic EMR for scheduling, documentation, and workflow management.

Required Certifications

• Current ARDMS Certification in one or more of the following:
  • ABD (Abdomen)
  • OB/GYN
  • RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Multiple ARDMS registries.
• Advanced breast imaging experience.
• Experience with Epic or comparable EMR systems.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
