Job summary

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC is seeking Ultrasound Technologists to support operations at the Southern Arizona VA Healthcare System in Tucson, AZ. You will independently perform a broad range of ultrasound studies and assist Radiologists during procedures, with Doppler measurements as needed.

The role requires an ARDMS license (Abdomen or RVT) and a current BLS certification. Two years of diagnostic medical sonography experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Have a current and valid ARDMS license; licensed in Abdomen or RVT.
• Maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification per American Heart Association guidelines.
• Minimum of two years of experience in diagnostic medical sonography.

Responsibilities

• Operate ultrasound equipment to perform a range of examinations from routine to highly specialized.
• Review requisitions to ensure patient history and exam area match requested studies (abdomen, chest, carotid/neck, gynecologic ultrasound).
• Perform neck, carotid, leg vein and leg artery examinations; assist Radiologists during invasive procedures; conduct Doppler measurements as indicated.

Overview

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently seeking Ultrasound Technologists to support operations at the Southern Arizona VA Healthcare System located at 3601 S. 6th Ave Tucson, AZ 85723. Responsibilities

• Independently operates equipment to perform a variety of complex sonographic examinations ranging from routine to highly specialized
• Reviews requisitions to assure that the patient history and anatomical area of interest is consistent with the exam(s) requested; examinations performed includes abdomen for tumors, cysts, abscesses, hematomas, inflammatory lesions, and the size and location of organs; evaluations of the abdominal aorta for aneurysm and/or dissection, and chest exams for pleural effusions will also be performed
• Conducts neck, carotid artery, leg vein, and artery examinations
• Also assists Radiologists during invasive procedures and performs all types of gynecological ultrasound exams
• Performs quantitative Doppler measurements to determine blood flow profiles when indicated
• Must have knowledge of appropriate use of color flow/power Doppler to further evaluate areas for vascular patency/pattern

Qualifications

• Have a current and valid ARDMS license and required to be licensed in Abdomen or RVT.
• Maintain current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) as certified by the American Heart Association
• Minimum of two years of experience in diagnostic medical sonography

Physical Requirements

• Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
• Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
• Lift up to 20 lbs
• Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
• Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
