Job summary

RadNet in Thousand Oaks, CA is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures and support radiologists with biopsies in a patient-centered environment.

You will monitor patient well-being, safeguard confidential information, and ensure professional interactions with patients, families, and staff while maintaining high quality imaging and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Applicants must have completed their Ultrasound Technologist program with diploma.
• Passed SPI exam preferred.
• Current ARDMS certifications or AART (S), or ARDMS Registry / ARRT (S) Eligible preferred.
• BLS certification

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality ultrasound procedures in accordance with department policy and regulatory requirements.
• Assist radiologists with ultrasound-guided biopsies and procedures.
• Understand the methods used to generate ultrasound data and the operation of the instruments for data capture.
• Monitor patient well-being during exams and respond to discomfort or issues.
• Safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
• Safeguards on-site medications per policies and legal requirements.
• Demonstrate professionalism toward patients and coworkers.
• Respect patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during interactions.
• Interact diplomatically with patients, families, and the public in a clinical setting.
• Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.

You Will:

• Perform high quality ultrasound procedures in strict accordance with currently approved practices as outlined in department policy and procedure manuals, complying with all applicable federal, state, local and other regulatory requirements.
• Assist radiologists with ultrasound-guided biopsies and procedures if needed.
• Understand the methods used to generate ultrasound data and the theory and operation of the instruments that detect, display, and store the acoustic information generated in clinical examinations.
• Monitor patient's well-being during exams; recognizes patient discomfort or medical problems and takes appropriate action.
• Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
• Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
• Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
• Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.

Pay Range: $24.00 - $36.00 / hour
