Job summary

Akumin Inc. in Plantation, FL is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform imaging procedures and provide the radiologist with accurate clinical history.

The role is full-time with opportunities for cross-training, flexible scheduling, and benefits; requires 1–2 years ultrasound experience, CPR, ARDMS/ARRT, and ability to travel between locations.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of ultrasound experience required.
• CPR certification required.
• ARDMS or ARRT(S) certification required.
• State license, if applicable.
• Valid state driver’s license, as applicable.
• Ability to work at multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Perform all patient ultrasound imaging procedures.
• Gather patient history data and document findings for Radiologist.
• Maintain exam rooms and assist with general duties.
• Support imaging center workflow and handling tasks (burn discs with images).

We are currently hiring for an Ultrasound Technologist at our Plantation facility. This will be a full time position. The Ultrasound Technologist performs ultrasound imaging procedures on all patients to provide interpreting Radiologist an accurate clinical history of patient signs and symptoms.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for performing all patient ultrasound imaging procedures.
• Gathers patient history data and completes worksheets with exam findings for Radiologist.
• Performs general upkeep and housekeeping of exam rooms.
• Assists with imaging center workflow by helping with general duties as deemed necessary (burn discs with images etc.).

Position Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience required; Associates Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• CPR certification required.
• ARDMS or ARRT(S) required.
• State license, if applicable.
• Valid state driver’s license, as applicable.
• 1-2 years experience in Ultrasound required.
• Ability to work at several locations.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.
• Local travel may be required.
• The COVID-19 vaccination is/may be a condition of employment.
