Job summary

Freeman is seeking a skilled Ultrasonographer to perform ultrasound examinations and obtain high-quality images for radiologist interpretation in a hospital setting.

The role emphasizes patient safety, accurate identification, and adherence to department protocols. Candidates should have accredited radiologic sciences education, with BS preferred, and at least two years of acute care ultrasonography experience, plus BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiologic sciences or ultrasound technology program.
• Preferred BS degree; Completion of advanced modality programs.
• Clinical experience in radiologic sciences; preferred two years as ultrasonographer in an acute care hospital setting.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Performs ultrasonic examinations for radiologist evaluation and treatment.
• Obtains ultrasound images and ensures proper patient identification.
• Scans associated documents into PACS for radiologist interpretation.
• Maintains patient safety, comfort, and equipment readiness.
• Ensures procedures are properly ordered and completed per standards.
• Assists in process improvements and data collection.

Performs a variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative in applying ultrasound techniques for radiologic diagnosis. Responsible for the safety and comfort of all patients undergoing ultrasound procedures. Preferred graduate of an accredited radiologic sciences program with a B.S.; Completion of advanced modality program(s).Clinical experience acquired through the completion of radiologic sciences program. Preferred two years experience as a ultrasonographer an acute care hospital setting AHA.
