Job summary

SimonMed in Gilbert, AZ is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our imaging team. You will perform obstetric and gynecologic scans, abdominal and vascular studies, as well as breast imaging, while ensuring accurate results and patient comfort.

You will coordinate tests, calibrate equipment, maintain logs, and work under general supervision. A CPR certification and completion of an approved ultrasound program or RT(R) licensure are required, with professional dress code appropriate

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an approved program in Ultrasound Technology or licensed RT(R).
• Knowledge in Abdomen, Small parts, Breast and OB/GYN, and Vascular imaging.
• A valid CPR certification (Hands-On).
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competency in job-related skills across patient populations and services.
• Schedules and coordinates tests, records results, and maintains logs.
• Performs obstetric/gynecologic, abdominal, retroperitoneal, and radiation therapy localization scans.
• Calibrates and maintains equipment and orders supplies as needed.
• Works under general supervision with a degree of creativity.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competency in the performance of job-related skills appropriate to his/her customer populations and departmental services
• Schedules and coordinates tests, records test results, and prepares and maintains operational logs
• Performs obstetric and gynecological scans, ultrasound techniques and examinations, abdominal scans, retroperitoneal scans, and radiation therapy localization
• Calibrates and maintains equipment and orders supplies when needed
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
• Works under general supervision
• A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an approved program in Ultrasound Technology or licensed RT(R)
• Knowledge in Abdomen, Small parts, Breast and OB (1st, 2nd, 3rd trimester)/GYN, and Vascular imaging
• A valid "Hands‑On" CPR certification
• This position may require duties including lifting and carrying up to 40 pounds, sitting for prolonged periods of time, with frequent standing and walking
• Business Casual or scrubs dependent on department
