Job summary

A regional healthcare provider in Falmouth, Massachusetts, is seeking a qualified Ultrasound Technician to perform a variety of ultrasound diagnostic procedures. Qualifications

• Must have an Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or certificate program.
• Required to be eligible for registration in Abdom/OB or Echo RDMS.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.

Job description

Purpose of Position: Under the direction of a radiologist and supervision of the Director of Radiology, performs a variety of ultrasound diagnostic procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative in the application of nonionizing high frequency ultrasound waves for the diagnosis of pathology.

Responsibilities

• Sets up, adjusts and operates medical equipment and instruments.
• Performs testing ordered by patient’s physician.
• Addresses age-specific needs of infants, toddlers, school age, adolescents, adults, older adults.
• Performs ultrasound procedures and follows exam protocols.
• Utilizes and maintains equipment in expert manner.
• Performs administrative and other tasks as requested.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

• Associate\'s degree (A. S.) or equivalent from two-year college or certificate program.
• Abdom/OB, or Echo RDMS, or eligible for registration, required.
• Current BLS.

Schedule Details: 80PP (40 Hours Per Week), Rotating Evenings, 3p-11p, Rotating Weekends & Holidays, Sign-On Bonus Eligible!
