Job summary

Rome Health in New York is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to join our acute care imaging team, performing OB/GYN, breast, abdominal, small parts, and vascular exams. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team and contribute to providing top-tier diagnostic imaging services for our inpatient (IP), outpatient (OP), and emergency department (ED) patients.

Job Responsibilities

As an Ultrasound Technologist, your duties will include:

• Performing a variety of ultrasound exams, including but not limited to OB/GYN, breast, abdominal, small parts, and vascular exams.
• Providing exceptional patient care in an acute care setting, ensuring accurate imaging results while maintaining patient comfort.
• Assisting with the preparation and positioning of patients for various ultrasound exams.
• Working closely with medical professionals to ensure timely and accurate diagnoses.
• Ensuring all ultrasound equipment is maintained and calibrated according to protocol.
• Documenting exam details and findings in the electronic medical record (EMR).

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited ultrasound program.
• ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) registered or eligible.

Experience

• Previous experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Knowledge and proficiency in performing OB/GYN, breast, abdominal, small parts, and vascular ultrasound exams.

Certifications/Licensure

• ARDMS certification required or eligibility to sit for the ARDMS exam.
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred.
