Job summary

US Heart and Vascular seeks a PRN Dual Sonographer to join Birmingham Heart Clinic in Rainbow City, AL. You will perform routine and complex echocardiography and vascular duplex exams, with preliminary interpretation and an emphasis on patient communication.

Candidates must be ARDMS or CCI registered, RDCS or RCS credentialed in Echocardiography and RVT/RVS, with at least one year of experience; Fridays availability is required.

Qualifications

• Currently registered as a Cardiovascular Sonographer through ARDMS or CCI.
• Minimum one year experience with echocardiography and vascular ultrasound.
• Credentialed in Echocardiography (RDCS or RCS) and Vascular Technology (RVT or RVS).

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and complex echocardiography and vascular duplex ultrasound examinations and performs and provides preliminary interpretation of studies performed.
• Examinations performed may include, but are not limited to, stress and contrast echocardiograms, peripheral venous and arterial exams, visceral vascular and/or renal vascular exams.
• Explains procedures to patients and obtains informed consent from patients.
• Availability to work on Fridays.
