WOMEN Obstetrics & Gynecology, a Together Women’s Health partner, is seeking a full-time Ultrasound Technician in Nashville to join our clinical team. The position involves acquiring ultrasound images for diagnostic purposes and supporting patient care within a collaborative radiology practice.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, verifying orders, performing imaging, documenting results, and participating in quality improvement to enhance patient flow and care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a certified ultrasound program.
• ARDMS certified and in good standing.
• Extensive OB/GYN experience.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with patients in a professional and caring manner.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients courteously and ensure their needs are met.
• Verify patient identification and physician orders.
• Explain imaging procedures and equipment to patients to ease anxiety.
• Review images, document observations, and communicate data to physicians.
• Maximize ultrasound quality by following standards and procedures.
• Maintain a safe, secure work environment and proper documentation.
• Record patient ultrasound services in charts.
• Participate in radiology process improvement activities.

Overview

WOMEN Obstetrics & Gynecology, a practice partner of Together Women’s Health (TWH) has an immediate opportunity for a full-timeUltrasound Technicianto join our team!

The Ultrasound Technician is responsible for acquiring ultrasound images that are used in medical diagnoses. The technician performs sonography in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization. Our technicians maintain and demonstrate an understanding of the team approach to patient care and documentation.

Responsibilities

How you’ll make an impact:

• Greets all patients courteously and ensures that their needs are met
• Reviews patient identification and verifies physician order
• Gains patient cooperation by reducing anxieties, providing explanations of imaging procedures, explaining equipment, and answering questions
• Reviews images, makes initial observations, documents exceptions from established protocols and communicates data to physician
• Maximizes production and quality of ultrasounds by following established standards and procedures
• Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following, and enforcing standards and procedures
• Documents patient ultrasound services by completing patient record charting
• Participates in process improvement activities within radiology practice including but not limited to quality of care, patient flow, reject-repeat analysis, and patient satisfaction
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
