Job summary

Chenega Corporation seeks an Ultrasound Technician to support the Blackfeet Community Hospital (BFSU) in Browning, Montana. This is a full-time, 40-hour per week position. BFSU operates 365 days a year, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, with CT, X-ray and Ultrasound services provided as needed.

This role can be offered as W2 or 1099. W2 compensation is $50-55/hr and 1099 is $80-85/hr. Responsibilities include performing CT, X-ray and ultrasound exams, ensuring quality control, and completing

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited Radiology Educational Program.
• Minimum one year of CT experience.
• Current ARRT CT certification.
• Current BLS certification.
• Image Gently and Image Wisely training.
• Undergo IHS mandated security clearance.
• Attain orientation.
• Provide immunization records prior to work.
• Complete BFSU mandatory training monthly or as needed.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT, Xray and Ultrasound examinations as requested, including clerical duties (RPMS, EHR, PACS).
• Conduct quality control of patient demographics and imagery.
• Perform CT examinations including screening, monitoring and therapy.
• Complete medical records and chart notes on the day of service.
• Work beyond scheduled hours in emergencies.
• Deliver on-site or on-call imaging services as required.
• Take on other tasks as directed by Radiology Department Supervisor.

This is a full-time, 40-hour per week position. BFSU hours are 365 days a year, 7 days a week, and 24 hours a day. CT, Xray and Ultrasound service shift times and schedules are to be provided on an as-needed basis and are subject to change based on the medical needs of the patient population and hospital/clinic operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT, Xray and Ultrasound Services examinations as deemed necessary to obtain all possible Information related to each requested examination, including all clerical duties involved. (RPMS, EHR, and PACS systems)
• Perform all quality control of patient demographics and imagery performed
• Perform a range of computed tomography examinations as requested, including patient screening and monitoring, patient therapy, and status.
• Perform Computed Tomography examinations.
• Complete medical and other required records for patients in a timely fashion.
• Complete chart notes on the day services are rendered.
• Work beyond the scheduled cover hours in emergency cases.
• Medical imaging services may be on-site or on-call services.
• Perform other assignments, as determined by the Radiology Department Supervisor

Qualifications

• Academic degree from an accredited Radiology Educational Program.
• Minimum one (1) year of experience in Computer Tomography Licensure
• Current ARRT (The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Computerized Tomography (CT)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Image Gently and Image Wisely certification/training
• Undergo IHS mandated security clearance.
• Attend orientation.
• Provide immunization records as proof of immunity or disease before the performance of work.
• complete BFSU mandatory training monthly or as needed.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Proficient with E-mail, and patient data entry
• Be clean and neat in appearance and comply with the Services Unit dress code for professional Radiologic Technologists and present themselves in a professional manner
• Be sensitive to the Cultural aspects of Native American Indians in providing care to patients.
• Speak, understand, read and write English fluently and communicate with sufficient clarity to be understood by IHS personnel and patients.
