Job summary

Tri-City Cardiology Consultants PC in East Mesa, AZ seeks a Technologist (RVT) to join the Vein Center. You will perform venous ultrasound studies and assist with ultrasound-guided venous procedures in outpatient settings.

The role requires current RVT/RVS/RT(VS) credentials, 1–2 years of venous mapping experience, and BLS certification. This is a full-time, on-site position with a stable practice and strong patient-care focus.

Qualifications

• Must hold current RVT, RVS or RT(VS) credential.
• Minimum 1–2 years of venous reflux mapping and ultrasound-guided ablation experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform venous mapping and reflux studies per IAC and internal protocols.
• Explain tests and procedures to patients before testing.
• Review orders and ensure appropriate use and insurance authorization.
• Maintain testing logs and accurate data entry.

Work is performed to IAC Vein Center standards and includes venous mapping, lower-extremity DVT studies, and post-procedure ultrasound as ordered.Essential functionsPerform testing per IAC guidelines, primarily venous mapping, reflux studies, lower-extremity DVT exams, and ultrasound-guided venous ablation, within protocol timeframesReview physician orders and diagnoses in the EHR for accuracy and appropriate useExplain tests and procedures so the patient understands what to expectConfirm insurance/authorization requirements are complete and route studies to the appropriate personnelMaintain accurate testing logsObtain accurate measurements of the relevant venous system per protocolMaintain 95% accuracy in data entryMaintain 95% accuracy in statement/impression selectionMaintain supply inventory and clean equipment and rooms as neededUse appropriate sterile technique when assisting the physician with ultrasound-guided proceduresPerform post-procedure ultrasounds as requiredMinimum qualificationsHigh school diploma or GEDCurrent vascular credential required (one of the following):Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) through ARDMSRegistered Vascular Specialist (RVS) through CCIRegistered Technologist in Vascular Sonography, RT(VS), through ARRTMinimum 1–2 years of dedicated venous reflux mapping and ultrasound-guided ablation assistance preferredDemonstrated experience in vascular / venous pathologyCurrent BLS (or obtained within 90 days of hire)This position is not a fit for: general sonographers (RDMS abdomen, OB/GYN, or echo-only) who do not hold a current RVT, RVS, or RT(VS) credential and do not have dedicated venous mapping and procedure-guidance experience.
