Job summary

Northwest Florida Community Hospital seeks an Ultrasound Technologist to perform two-dimensional ultrasound examinations for diagnostic evaluation and to participate in Performance Improvement initiatives.

Requirements include graduation from an AMA approved Ultrasound Technology program, ARDMS eligibility or board eligibility, and current BCLS certification. Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology and basic computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an AMA approved school of Ultrasound Technology, either college affiliated or hospital trained.
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, ARDMS or Board eligible.
• Current BCLS certification.
• Specific experience and training in Ultrasound.

Performs two-dimensional ultrasonic recordings of internal organs for the diagnosis of disease and study of the malfunction of organs. Participates in Performance Improvement activities.

Education:

Graduation from an AMA approved school of Ultrasound Technology, either college affiliated or hospital trained.

Licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations:

Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, ARDMS or Board eligible.

Current BCLS certification.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

Basic computer knowledge. Knowledge of anatomy and physiology Specific experience and training in Ultrasound.
