Job summary

AdventHealth in Arden, NC is seeking a Radiology Sonographer to support imaging services on a PRN Day schedule. The role involves ultrasound imaging across age groups, coordination of workflow, and adherence to infection control standards.

Candidate should have a completed medical sonography program, 1+ year hospital or private practice experience, and registries or RDCS preferred; willing to train staff and operate imaging equipment per department policies.

Qualifications

• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) [Preferred]

Responsibilities

• Monitors and manages daily workflow, including patient communication, transportation, and discharge.
• Follows infection control standards and handles pharmaceutical waste according to training.
• Participates in data collection and performance improvement projects.
• Performs quality assurance on imaging equipment and report any issues promptly. Other duties as assigned.
• Performs ultrasound imaging exams on patients of all age groups, ensuring high-quality results.
• Operates specific imaging equipment proficiently and adhere to departmental policies and procedures.
• Educates and trains new technologists and students on imaging procedures and equipment use.
