Job summary

AdventHealth in Arden, NC is seeking a PRN Radiology Ultrasound Technologist to perform ultrasound imaging exams and support daily imaging workflows. The role requires maintaining licenses, following infection control standards, and participating in quality and education activities.

The ideal candidate has hospital or private practice experience, a verified sonography program, and active radiology registries. PRN days/weekend shifts provide flexible scheduling within a faith-based health system.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Monitors and manages daily workflow, including patient communication, transportation, and discharge.
• Follows infection control standards and handles radiopharmaceutical/waste per training.
• Participates in data collection and performance improvement projects.
• Performs imaging exams with high-quality results and adherence to protocols.
• Educates and mentors new technologists and students on imaging procedures.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and manages daily workflow, including patient communication, transportation, and discharge.
• Follows infection control standards and handles pharmaceutical waste according to training.
• Participates in data collection and performance improvement projects.
• Performs quality assurance on imaging equipment and report any issues promptly.
• Performs ultrasound imaging exams on patients of all age groups, ensuring high-quality results.
• Operates specific imaging equipment proficiently and adhere to departmental policies and procedures.
• Educates and trains new technologists and students on imaging procedures and equipment use.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• [Required] Ability to learn and use Radiology software packages such as IDX, Radworks, Current PACS application.
• [Required] Ability to quickly learn and follow departmental policies and procedures.
• [Required] Maintain responsibility for all continuing and annual education.
• [Required] Must maintain all required registries and licenses to perform imaging procedures.

• Field of Study: Technical/Vocational School satisfactory completion of approved medical sonography program [Required]

Work Experience

• 1+ year of experience in a hospital or private practice environment [Required]
