Job summary

FRIO REGIONAL HOSPITAL is seeking an Ultrasound Tech to perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures and support the department with equipment and supplies. Responsibilities include abdominal, OB/GYN, venous Doppler, and other applicable exams, while maintaining quality standards and patient safety.

Candidates should hold ARRT(S) certification and CPR, with preferred one year of full-time ultrasound experience in a hospital or diagnostic imaging setting.

Qualifications

• ARRT(S) certification required.
• CPR certification required.
• Preferred: 1 year of experience as a fulltime Ultrasound in a hospital or diagnostic imaging setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound procedures across abdomen, OB/GYN, venous Doppler, small parts, pediatrics where applicable, and invasive exams as needed.
• Maintain department supplies and equipment.

Description:

The Ultrasound Tech performs diagnostic procedures utilizing a background in anatomy, physiology, physics and instrumentation to provide technical information to aid the physician. The Ultrasound Tech will demonstrate and maintain technical skills needed to perform ultrasound procedures on the population(s) served by the department and may include abdominal, OB/GYN, venous Doppler, small parts, pediatrics (where applicable) and invasive exams. In addition, the tech will maintain department supplies and equipment.

Education and/or Experience:

• ARRT(S)
• CPR
• Preferred: One (1) year of experience as a fulltime Ultrasound in a hospital setting or diagnostic imaging clinic setting.
