Job summary

Heywood Medical Group is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform two-dimensional ultrasonic recordings, select and operate equipment, and prepare patient data for physician review. You will explain procedures to patients, position them for optimal imaging, and ensure accurate data entry into the Meditech system.

The role requires ARDMS registration and BLS within 6 months, with 30-hour daytime shifts and on-call weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Ultrasound Technology or Radiology Technology.
• ARDMS registration in Ultrasound Technology required.
• AHA BLS required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assures ultrasound images are of optimum diagnostic quality.
• Operates diagnostic ultrasound processing and printing equipment to create a quality final image.
• Coordinates daily schedule and patient flow to ensure exams are completed on time.
• Accurately enters orders and charges into the Meditech system.
• Maintains patient safety and comfort during exams.
