Job summary

York General is seeking a compassionate and skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our Radiology team. The Ultrasound Technologist will perform exams across abdominal, pelvic, obstetric, and breast imaging, support invasive procedures, and educate patients for procedures while ensuring comfort and safety.

This Regular Part Time role offers day shifts, no nights or on-call, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program with ARDMS eligibility or registration (Required).
• BLS certification (Required).
• Detail-oriented with strong communication skills.
• Physically able to stand for extended periods and assist with patient positioning.

Responsibilities

• Performing a range of ultrasound exams: abdominal, pelvic, obstetric, breast, and more.
• Assisting with invasive procedures such as biopsies.
• Educating and preparing patients for procedures while ensuring comfort, safety, and confidentiality.
• Communicating effectively with medical staff and departments to coordinate patient care.
• Maintaining clean, well-stocked, and fully operational equipment and exam rooms.
• Supporting quality assurance and infection control procedures.
• Documenting exams, billing, and clerical tasks related to the ultrasound department.

As an Ultrasound Technologist, you’ll play a key role in diagnostic imaging services. Responsibilities include:
