Job summary

Hillcrest HealthCare System’s ultrasound department in Tulsa, OK is seeking a PRN Ultrasound Tech to join our radiology team. You will operate ultrasound scanners, prepare patients, and coordinate scheduling to support efficient exam flow.

The ideal candidate is ARDMS-registered or registry-eligible, with BLS and at least one year of hospital ultrasound experience. This role emphasizes patient-centered care and high-quality imaging in a dynamic clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Must be registered or registry eligible with the ARDMS.
• If registry eligible upon hire, the technologist must become registered within one year of hire.
• Must maintain registry during employment
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• One year or more of Ultrasound Tech experience in a hospital setting

Responsibilities

• Operate ultrasound scanners and call reports of exams
• Transport patients to and from the department and schedule patients
• Assist physicians with invasive procedures and perform basic CPR
• Maintain high-quality imaging and knowledge of ultrasound physics, anatomy, and positioning
• Coordinate patient prepping and scanning to ensure smooth flow
• Assist supervising staff with daily ultrasound department operations

• Hillcrest Medical Center is a 656-bed hospital that includes The Alexander Burn Center, The Peggy V. Helmerich Women’s Health Center, Kaiser Rehabilitation Center, the latest technology for the treatment of cancer, and the Oklahoma Heart Institute.


• Accountable for operating the ultrasound scanners, calling reports of exams, transporting patients to and from the department, and scheduling patients.


• Assist physicians with invasive procedures and administer basic C.P.R.


• Maintain high-quality imaging and have a thorough knowledge of ultrasound physics, anatomy, and positioning of patients.


• Coordinate patient prepping and scanning to maximize a smooth patient flow.


• Assist the supervisor in the daily operation of the ultrasound department.

Job Requirements:
