Job summary

Baptist Health Medical Group in the LaGrange, KY area is seeking an Ultrasound Tech specializing in OB-GYN to join our team. This full-time, first-shift position offers an opportunity to perform obstetric and gynecologic ultrasound procedures with RDMS credential requirements and a $2,500 sign-on bonus for eligible new hires.

Key duties include OB-GYN ultrasound studies, supervision under limited guidance, and collaboration with Maternal-Fetal Medicine as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associates Degree from an OB-GYN Ultrasound program preferred (Certificate or Degree as long as registry eligible).
• Holds current RDMS credential.
• Three years of experience in OB-GYN scanning.
• BLS and other advanced training as appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates delivery of health care services to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
• Establishes and maintains standards of care in Ultrasound sciences.
• Exercises professional judgment in performance of duties.
• Assures appropriate patient care management and adjust daily operations to meet the needs of a changing work environment.
• Involved with staff competencies, schedules, and educational needs.
• Nuchal translucency certification preferred (or obtained within the first year of employment) if working with MFM physicians.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• With limited supervision coordinates the delivery of health care services to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
• Establishes and maintains standards of care in Ultrasound sciences.
• Exercises professional judgment in performance of duties.
• Assures appropriate patient care management and adjust daily operations to meet the needs of a changing work environment.

• If position involves work with Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) physicians, nuchal translucency certification preferred (or obtained within the first year of employment).

Performs the following studies proficiently:

• Biophysical Profile
• Complete Obstetric Ultrasound
• Limited Obstetric Ultrasound
• Multiple Gestation Ultrasound
• Transvaginal (cervical length) Ultrasound
• Pelvic Ultrasound

Minimum Education, Experience, Training, and Licensures Required:

High School Diploma required; Associates Degree from an OB-GYN Ultrasound program preferred (Certificate or Degree as long as registry eligible).

Holds current credentials as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)

Three (3) years of experience in scanning OB-GYN procedures.

Basic Life Support and other advanced training as appropriate.
