Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England is seeking a Diagnostic Ultrasound Tech to perform ultrasound procedures across patients of all ages. You will operate ultrasound equipment, document findings for physicians, and ensure patient care throughout the process.

The role requires knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and ability to interpret imaging data with minimal supervision, in a day shift, full-time setting. RDMS eligibility is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year of clinical ultrasound experience preferred.
• Knowledge of growth and development across the lifespan.
• Ability to provide patient care alongside physicians.

Responsibilities

• Operate diagnostic ultrasound equipment for all dynamic ultrasound procedures.
• Provide physicians with oral/written summaries of technical findings.

Perform diagnostic procedures by producing, assessing, and evaluating ultrasound images.

What You Will Do

• Trinity Health Of New England is looking for a responsible individual for the operation of diagnostic ultrasound equipment for the performance of all dynamic ultrasound procedures on patients of all ages, at a technical level not requiring direct supervision.
• Provide physicians with oral or written summaries of technical findings, while simultaneously providing patient care.
• The staff member must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his/her unit. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient’s requirements.
• Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and physiology. Ability to recognize subtle differences between healthy and pathological areas. Ability to adequately use, or learn to use, the department’s computerized system and its associated devices.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of recognized training program of Diagnostic Medical Sonography or equivalent. (RDMS)
• Experience: 1 year of Clinical Ultrasound preferred.
• Licensure: American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RDMS) or Registry Eligible. Registry eligible must have RDMS within one year of hire.
