Responsibilities

• Perform all ultrasound exams as ordered by physicians for the Womens Imaging team.
• Assist with peripheral activities: ID patient, educate patient and family, validate order and ordering physician, complete paperwork and Meditech entries.
• Transfer images and ensure ordering physicians receive final results.
• Maintain accuracy and timeliness of documentation and image delivery.
• Collaborate with team to support patient care and workflow.

Responsibilities

This position performs all ultrasound exams/procedures as ordered by our referring physicians supporting our Womens Imaging team. Position is accountable for all peripheral activities associated with each test/procedure, e.g. ID patient, educating patient and family members, validating order and ordering physician, completing all paperwork, completing all Meditech entries, transferring images, and ensuring that ordering physicians receive final results.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3 years experience in general sonography.
• Must be a graduate of an Ultrasound accredited program with ARDMS certification
• License Requirements: Ultrasonographers
• Must be licensed to practice in Maryland (BPQA)
• Certification Requirements: Healthcare Provider CPR
• Must possess skills in: Ultrasound procedures, communication, good patient care, team work, customer service and procedure flexibility and multitasking.

Salary Information

Most new hires are typically placed within the lower to mid-portion of the range; offers above that level are reserved for candidates with advanced or highly specialized qualifications.
