Job summary

Dartmouth Health is seeking an Ultrasonographer in New Hampshire to perform a range of ultrasonic exams and collaborate with radiology professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.

Requirements include AMA-approved Radiologic Technology training, ARDMS eligibility, and NH licensing with CPR within three months of hire. Per diem employment, with benefits package described by the employer.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.
  • One year experience as a Sonographer preferred.
  • ARDMS registration within one year of employment is preferred, within two years is required.
  • Current license with the New Hampshire Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy.
  • CPR certification must be acquired within three months of hire and updated annually.

Responsibilities

  • Independently performs appropriate ultrasonic examinations, utilizing instrumentation settings based on a thorough knowledge of ultrasound physics.
  • Consults with radiologists and/or referring physicians, providing technical interpretation of diagnostic images.
  • Oversees patient scheduling and coordinates with other areas. Updates patient examination history file, and records unusual conditions/limitations.

Job description

As an Ultrsonographer at Cheshire Medical Center you will practice with committed Radiology professional’s and a range of providers to deliver excellent patient care to our community. You will be asked to perform a variety of highly technical Ultrasound exams and procedures using your skills and understanding of these complicated procedures.

  • Independently performs appropriate ultrasonic examinations, utilizing instrumentation settings based on a thorough knowledge of ultrasound physics
  • Consults with radiologists and/or referring physicians, providing technical interpretation of diagnostic images
  • Oversees patient scheduling and coordinates with other areas. Updates patient examination history file, and records unusual conditions/limitations

Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology required. One year experience as a Sonographer preferred. Achievement of registration by the ARDMS within one year of employment is preferred, within two years is required.
