Job summary

SpaceX is hiring a Water Treatment Technician for Starlink, supporting two ZLD facilities in North America. You will monitor UPW systems, manage wastewater processes, and drive reliability in a high‑volume production environment.

The role emphasizes safety, calibration, and collaboration with engineering teams to maintain water quality, data logs, and continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalency certificate.
• 2+ years hands-on technical experience OR an associate's degree in STEM.
• 3+ years UPW production and/or industrial wastewater treatment preferred.
• Experience in chemical handling and hazardous materials.
• Proficiency with MES/ERP systems and instrumentation.
• Ability to read P&ID and schematic wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor UPW systems, including RO, EDI, UV, and filtration.
• Manage wastewater treatment processes and related equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting on pumps and sensors.
• Conduct daily water quality sampling and data logging using analyzers.
• Respond to alarms, investigate excursions, and minimize downtime.
• Ensure OSHA/EPA safety compliance and proper chemical handling.
• Read, interpret, and follow manufacturing work instructions.
• Collaborate with teams to optimize water usage and system uptime.
