Responsibilities
- Assemble product by referring to engineering drawings, bill of material, sales/assembly drawings, and QAD system comments. Evaluate product for correct performance and visual characteristics.
- Interpret production documentation, including work instructions, assembly processes, and test procedures. Input test results into the First Pass Yield database and complete First Article Inspection.
- Work as part of a team to achieve departmental goals, meet hourly targets for the assigned area, and attend daily morning huddles and All-Hands meetings. Update workstation KPI.
- Maintain work area according to safety policies and 5S principles; apply continuous improvement techniques; adhere to PPE policies.
- Follow quality control checks to ensure products meet standards; report safety incidents and quality issues on the floor.
Professional Experience & Qualifications
- Pass basic Math and English test with at least 75% accuracy and dexterity test.
- High school graduate or equivalent/GED; ability to read and write English.
- Ability to read blueprints and use pneumatic and basic hand tools.
- Consistent attendance.
- Quick learner who can follow procedures and written documentation to build product.
- Willingness to learn and complete audits on 5S, Kanban, and participate in continuous improvement activities.
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods; position demands some repetitive motion tasks (pushing/pulling and gripping).
- Can lift up to 35 lbs.
- Basic computer usage for data input.
Compensation
$20.80-$25.47 per hour.
