UIG is a global engineer, constructor, supplier, and operator of air separation plants, based in Bethlehem, PA. We supply Nucor steel sites and third-party clients with oxygen, nitrogen, and argon, operating 24/7, and export liquid cryogenic products.

We are seeking an Air Separation (ASU) Plant Facility Manager at our new Darlington ASU in Darlington County, SC. The role involves managing site operations, customer relations, onsite distribution, and plant performance, including safety, quality, and environmental standards. The Facility Manager will be involved in staffing, training, commissioning, and startup of the new facility.

• Lead and train plant operations staff, including a full operating team, ASU plant manager, assistant, and I&E support, operating 24/7/365.

• Coordinate with customers for production and maintenance to meet needs.
• Evaluate process conditions and implement loading plans.
• Be on 24-hour call.
• Lead safety, environmental, and quality improvement programs.
• Participate in quality control activities.

Safety is paramount; candidates must demonstrate the ability to uphold safety policies and standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 10+ years’ experience managing in an ASU environment.
• Hands-on experience with cryogenic air separation plant operations and maintenance.
• Familiarity with software systems like MS Office.
• Understanding of electrical principles and mechanical systems maintenance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with mechanical, electrical, and electronic repair tools and equipment.
• Knowledge of automation, control systems, and HMI.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve plant issues independently.
• Experience training staff on operations and calibration.
• Knowledge of water treatment and refrigeration principles.
