St.-Bernards-Healthcare in Jonesboro, AR is seeking a transcriptionist to support nursing units by accurately transcribing physicians’ orders under the supervision of a licensed nurse. The role includes clerical tasks and serving as an information coordinator for the unit.
Incumbents should be prepared for overtime and callback as required by the hospital. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with medical terminology proficiency or completion within six months desirable.
Minimum Age Requirement: 18 years of age or older
Skills and proficiency in oral and written grammar, spelling, punctuation, and basic mathematics as acquired through official completion of high school or its equivalent. Must show proficiency in medical terminology or complete course within 6 months or employment.
Knowledge of job content and requirements as acquired by on-the-job training and knowledge of hospital and departmental policies and procedures as acquired through 4-week orientation and preceptorship.
