Hartford Funds is seeking a Web Designer to work within the Marketing Design team, partnering with our Senior Web Designer on design, development, ongoing maintenance, and data-driven page management of Hartford Funds' websites and digital campaigns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in web design, Graphic Design, Interactive/Digital Media, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Hand-coding HTML and CSS proficiently.
• Ability to read, modify, and adapt existing JavaScript code.
• Graphic design skills with Adobe Photoshop (and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite).
• Solid understanding of UI/UX principles, responsive design, and web accessibility.
• Experience creating wireframes, mockups, and prototypes.
• Hands-on experience with a CMS and a DAM platform, including content publishing, metadata management, and ongoing site maintenance.
• Familiarity with using AI tools to assist with coding and development.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• UI/UX design to create intuitive, accessible experiences.
• Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes communicating design concepts.
• Produce graphics using Adobe Photoshop and related tools.
• Develop and maintain digital design systems and brand elements.
• Publish content and assets in CMS/DAM with proper metadata.
• Maintain live pages with updates, QA, and bug fixes.
• Manage product pages with structured data for fund information and disclosures.
• Hand-code clean HTML and CSS for pages and components.
• Implement front-end functionality with JavaScript.
• Support redesigns and rebrands, rebuilding and testing templates.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to launch projects.
• Manage multiple projects with attention to detail and self-QA.
• Leverage AI-assisted development to speed up coding and prototyping.
