Job summary

International Logic Systems, Inc. is seeking a UI/UX Designer to support a federal IT modernization initiative. You will design intuitive, user-centered interfaces and collaborate with technical teams to deliver high-quality digital experiences.

Hybrid role based in Fairfax, VA with on-site presence two days per week; must be local to DC metro. You will create wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and production-ready UI designs, ensuring Angular integration and accessibility standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a UI/UX Designer supporting web application development projects.
• Strong portfolio showcasing experience with Angular-based front-end applications.
• Expertise in Figma and proficiency with other design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, or Axure.
• Solid understanding of front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design principles.

Responsibilities

• Design modern, user-friendly interfaces for web applications, ensuring consistency, accessibility, and responsiveness.
• Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and developers to translate requirements into engaging UI/UX solutions.
• Create wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, interactive prototypes, and style guides using tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch.
• Work closely with Angular developers to ensure accurate implementation of designs and maintain design integrity across the application.
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and design reviews to validate design decisions and improve user experience.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily standups.
• Ensure compliance with Section 508 accessibility standards and other applicable design guidelines.
• Maintain comprehensive design documentation and component libraries for reusability and scalability.

The successful candidate will design intuitive, user-centered interfaces and collaborate closely with technical teams to deliver high-quality digital experiences. This role will involve creating wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and production-ready UI designs, as well as ensuring integration with Angular-based applications. This is a hybrid role requiring on-site presence two days per week at our Fairfax, VA headquarters.

MUST BE LOCAL TO DC METRO AREA (hybrid support - 2 days in ILS HQ office, located in Fairfax, VA 22033).
