Vertiv in Huntsville, AL is seeking an Engineering Intern to join Core Engineering for hands-on hardware and firmware development, including GenAI-enabled tooling and design testing.

You will gain experience with embedded firmware on Yocto Linux, agile product design, and cross-team collaboration to deliver high-quality software and analytics capabilities.

Candidates must be pursuing a related degree with basic front-end knowledge, strong communication, and a proactive work ethic.

Formación

• Must be pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Knowledge of Front-End development technologies such as JavaScript, JS Frameworks (AngularJS, JQuery, etc.), HTML5 concepts, CSS abstraction (Less, SASS etc.), and task runners (Grunt/Gulp etc.).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated work ethic and detail-orientation
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Ability and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment and produce high-quality work
• Collaboration and teamwork

Job Description Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive individual to join our Core Engineering team as an Engineering Intern. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of hardware and firmware development within our organization. The ideal candidate is passionate about leveraging engineering in the areas of development including Design Engineering, Test Engineering and the use of Generative AI.

Responsibilities

• Development of firmware/software on embedded Yocto Linux environment.
• Create new features/software/development with the use of GenAI tools.
• Learn and use Agile Development for product design and test.
• Monitor data quality and integrity, identifying any discrepancies or issues and collaborating with the team to resolve them.
• Stay updates with the latest trends and technologies in data analytics, continuously seeking opportunities to enhance your skills and apply new techniques.
• Develop original ideas which push the boundaries for our products.

Qualifications
