Job summary

Kohl’s is seeking a UI Software Engineer to collaborate with design, product, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality applications that enhance retail experiences.

You will develop with Typescript, NodeJS, and React, with solid CSS/HTML, and a focus on responsive, accessible UI. A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred, plus experience in modern UI frameworks and scalable component libraries.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Typescript, NodeJS and ECMAScript standards.
• Strong CSS/HTML skills and responsive design.
• Experience with React and another modern UI framework (Angular/Ember/Vue).
• Experience building reusable component libraries and UI patterns.
• Familiarity with XP (Extreme Programming) practices is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop high‑quality applications using XP practices and user‑centric design.
• Participate in full application lifecycle with product, design and engineering teams.
• Apply data-driven thinking to achieve business outcomes and improve reliability.
• Contribute to product engineering standards and reduce toil with scalable tech debt strategies.
