Job summary

Signature IT World Inc. seeks an experienced Senior Software Architect to lead the design and delivery of scalable web applications and services. You will define API design, versioning, authentication, and documentation standards, and drive cloud-based solutions on AWS.

The role requires leadership in DevOps, IaC with Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and a focus on reliability, performance, and observability. Collaboration with product, QA, and stakeholders is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with TypeScript and Node.js.
• Proficiency in Python for tooling and scripting.
• Strong background in RESTful APIs and microservices design.
• Experience documenting APIs and building scalable services.
• Hands-on with Terraform and IaC for cloud environments.
• Proven ability to implement CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with observability, logging, metrics, and tracing.
• Experience with testing frameworks and unit tests.
• Experience with Git-based workflows and code reviews.
• Strong problem-solving and architectural decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and delivery of scalable web apps and software solutions.
• Design and implement REST APIs and microservices per standards.
• Define API design, versioning, auth, and docs standards.
• Design and integrate cloud-based solutions using AWS services.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor developers on standards.
• Implement automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.
• Apply Terraform and IaC for cloud infrastructure.
• Manage source code with Git workflows and DevOps practices.
• Drive reliability engineering, performance optimization, and scalability.
• Implement application observability including logging, metrics, and tracing.
• Develop shell scripts to automate dev, deployment, and ops tasks.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across apps, APIs, cloud, and production.
• Collaborate with product, QA, DevOps, and stakeholders.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure security standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve performance, reliability, automation, and productivity.
