Responsibilities

• Class Instruction: Plan and deliver structured, effective group fitness classes; select appropriate music and incorporate safe, well-paced choreography; demonstrate exercises with clear cueing and smooth transitions; educate participants on proper form, modifications, and contraindications; ensure safe use of all equipment and enforce studio guidelines; welcome and orient new participants; motivate members and create a positive, inclusive class environment; monitor participants and make real-time adjustments as needed.
• Administrative Responsibilities: Arrive prepared and start/end classes on schedule; set up and properly store all equipment; accurately record hours in the electronic timekeeping system; operate studio sound and lighting systems; secure substitutes when necessary; communicate member feedback or concerns to the Program Manager; promote gym programs, services, and special events; maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of exercise science principles and safe training techniques
• General understanding of anatomy and kinesiology
• Experience with group fitness instruction, including music timing and cueing
• High energy level and physical stamina
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to demonstrate exercises clearly and effectively

Certifications

• Current Group Fitness certification (preferred)
• Specialty format certifications may be required based on class offerings
