Job summary

UFC GYM in Murfreesboro, TN is seeking an energetic Group Fitness Instructor to lead engaging, safe, results-driven classes for members of all levels.

You will plan and deliver structured workouts, select music, cue movements, demonstrate exercises with proper form, and monitor participants while enforcing safety guidelines. This role also includes administrative duties and promoting gym programs.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of exercise science and safe training techniques.
• Experience leading group fitness classes with music timing and cueing.
• Excellent communication and ability to demonstrate exercises clearly.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver structured group fitness classes.
• Select appropriate music and incorporate safe, well-paced choreography.
• Demonstrate exercises while providing clear cueing and smooth transitions.
• Educate participants on proper form, modifications, and contraindications.
• Ensure safe use of all equipment and enforce studio guidelines.
• Welcome and orient new participants.
• Motivate members and create a positive, inclusive class environment.
• Monitor participants and make real-time adjustments as needed.
• Arrive prepared and start/end classes on schedule.
• Set up and properly store all equipment.
• Accurately record hours in the electronic timekeeping system.
• Operate studio sound and lighting systems.
• Secure substitutes when necessary.
• Communicate member feedback or concerns to the Program Manager.
• Promote gym programs, services, and special events.
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.

• Ability to demonstrate exercises clearly and effectively.

Certifications

• Current Group Fitness certification (preferred).
• Specialty format certifications may be required based on class offerings.
