Job summary

Missouri State University is seeking a Greenwood JFORCE Dance Team Coach to lead, organize, and develop a high-performing dance team on the Springfield Campus. The role emphasizes practice oversight, advanced routines, and positive student development within a spirited team environment.

The candidate should be passionate about dance, leadership, and mentoring student-athletes, with the ability to manage team dynamics and travel for performances and camps as needed.

Qualifications

• Prior coaching experience with youth or college teams.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Choreography and routine development experience.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• UDA Varsity Coaches Certificate knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead practices and choreograph routines for Pom, Jazz, Hip-Hop, and game day performances.
• Coordinate competition preparation, travel, and event logistics.
• Attend performances, rallies, games, and other team events as required.
• Foster a positive, inclusive team culture and ensure athlete safety.
• Communicate team expectations and maintain professional coordination with school leadership.
