Job summary

University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) seeks qualified anesthesia faculty to join a world-class department focused on high-quality, patient-centered perioperative care. This position emphasizes evidence-based medicine within a large team of clinicians, educators, and researchers across UCSF Health’s multi-campus system.

Successful applicants will teach residents and medical students, contribute to research and education, and participate in Grand Rounds and quality assurance programs.

Qualifications

• Must hold an MD, DO, or equivalent degree and be board eligible or certified in Anesthesia.
• Must possess a California Medical License or equivalent Special Permit issued (or Special Permit application submitted) by the California Medical Board.
• Applicant’s materials must list (pending) qualifications upon submission.
• Applicant must have all requirements met by time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Teach residents and medical students, participate in University service and faculty meetings.
• Attend monthly Grand Rounds and M&M conferences, and contribute to quality assurance programs.
• Engage in continuing education and ongoing scholarly activity in clinical teams.
• Advance the mission of the Department of Anesthesia and Perioperative Care.
