Cleo Robotics, Inc. is seeking a Robotics Autonomy Engineer to advance its Dronut UAV autonomy stack. You will develop, test, and deploy AI and autonomy algorithms for GPS-denied navigation using 3D LiDAR, IMU, and cameras for pose estimation and planning.

The role spans perception, SLAM, sensor fusion, path planning, and field testing on embedded edge hardware, with emphasis on real-time performance and robust product deployment.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in robotics, CS, or related field with strong fundamentals.
• 3–5 years building autonomy, localization, and navigation for robots or UAVs.
• Proven field deployments of autonomy software on robots.
• Hands-on visual odometry, VIO, 3D mapping, and SLAM with EKF.
• Experience with perception, planning, and map representations.
• Strong C/C++ and Python, embedded software experience valuable.
• Experience on embedded Linux/SoCs (Jetson/Qualcomm).
• Ability to translate cutting-edge research into robust, real-time systems.
• Familiarity with ROS2, Linux, Git, Docker; telemetry and fleet diagnostics is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Own and advance the autonomy stack: localization, mapping, state estimation, sensor fusion, and planning.
• Collaborate with perception, sensors, flight controls, and vehicle dynamics teams.
• Develop and harden SLAM, multi-sensor fusion, calibration, and relocalization.
• Design perception and autonomous navigation for dynamic environments.
• Build autonomous behaviors: path following, mission execution, health monitoring, recovery.
• Prepare robust deployment on edge hardware with latency and power constraints.
