Job summary

AMERICAN SYSTEMS in Lexington Park, MD is seeking a Navigation Engineering Lead for the UAS Air Vehicle Team. You will coordinate across Development, Production, and Test IPTs to ensure navigation systems meet performance and security requirements.

The role requires 8+ years in defense acquisition with DoW experience and a TS/SCI clearance. AMERICAN SYSTEMS offers an Employee Stock Ownership Plan and a single accrual leave plan with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in Defense acquisition with 3+ years in DoW Acquisition management.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; an associate’s degree with 4 years experience may substitute.
• Must be able to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance.
• Knowledge of CNS-ATM/GATM, requirements and architecture management.
• Experience with DoW 5000 series requirements and cross-team communication.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate across Development, Production, Sustainment and Training IPTs.
• Coordinate with navigation subject matter experts.
• Manage navigation requirements, architecture, ECP/TDL and navigation upgrades.
• Oversee life cycle development and SETR process for navigation systems.
• Coordinate navigation roadmap, Jira tracking, GCS integration, and test activities.
