KBR, Inc is seeking a Small UAS Engine Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Beavercreek, Ohio. In this full-time role, you will provide engineering support for small piston engines used in Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS). The position involves collaboration with government and contractor teams, supporting propulsion engineering across various stages - development, testing, production, and sustainment. Candidates should hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and possess over 5 years of relevant experience, with a strong understanding of propulsion systems and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional experience in propulsion or mechanical systems engineering.
  • Ability to review and interpret technical documents including engine specifications.
  • Experience working in government program office or defense acquisition environments.

Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering and technical support for small piston engines in UAS.
  • Support coordination activities with contractors and engine vendors.
  • Participate in technical forums and support test and evaluation activities.
