Rainmaker is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Engineering team in El Segundo, CA. You will work on UAS platform subsystems, reporting to the Electrical Engineering Lead and contributing to mission-critical hardware from ideation to production.

The role emphasizes rapid prototyping, PCB design with Altium or KiCad, board bringup, testing, and thorough documentation to ensure reliability in flight conditions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in hardware design or related field.
• Demonstrated ability to design hardware using PCB design software (Altium or KiCad).
• Experience with embedded systems and microcontrollers across multiple platforms.
• Experience with EE lab equipment (oscilloscopes, power supplies, DC loads).
• Personal projects or internships demonstrating hands-on hardware work.

Responsibilities

• Full System Design: collaborate withMechanical, Software, Manufacturing, and Testing teams from ideation to production.
• Rapid Hardware Prototyping: build functional prototypes and iterate from flight-test feedback.
• PCB Design: create schematics and layouts for power, sensors, and communication.
• Board Bringup and Testing: assemble, debug, and validate PCBs and develop test procedures.
• Documentation: write technical docs and prepare fabrication/assembly data.
