Job summary

Primary Function

Directing and monitoring the activities within multiple storerooms and efficiently utilizing space and equipment within storerooms and storage areas to meet established priorities and completion dates.

Tools And Equipment

Hand trucks, forklifts, walking and riding type stackers, pendant operated bridge cranes, computer terminals, scales, bins, racks, storage carousels; hand tools such as hammers, pliers, files, wire cutters, crowbar, tape measures, and banding equipment.

• Ability to handle various types of material to include ferrous and non-ferrous materials, finished and purchased parts, tools and supplies, bulk oils, paints, explosives, bottled gases and containers, etc.
• Receive work assignment and instructions from supervision.
• Follow proper systems, procedures and methods for handling and storing materials.
• Identify and process materials with visual damage, poor condition, improper packaging or storage.
• Insure compliance with established safety rules and material handling and storage procedures.
• Perform work of equal or lower skill as required.

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma/ GED.
• Must be able to operate various types of material handling equipment to include but not limited to forklifts, overhead crane, pallet jack, and hand and power tools.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a daily basis.
• Operate computer terminal.
• Work independently with little direction.
• US Citizenship required.

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP experience.
• Warehouse inventory experience.
• Forklift certification.
