PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Directing and monitoring the activities within multiple storerooms and efficiently utilizing space and equipment within storerooms and storage areas to meet established priorities and completion dates.

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT:

Hand trucks, forklifts, walking and riding type stackers, pendant operated bridge cranes, computer terminals, scales, bins, racks, storage carousels; hand tools such as hammers, pliers, files, wire cutters, crowbar, tape measures, and banding equipment.

• 1. Ability to handle various types of material to include ferrous and non-ferrous materials, finished and purchased parts, tools and supplies, bulk oils, paints, explosives, bottled gases and containers, etc.
• 2. Receive work assignment and instructions from supervision.
• 3. Follow proper systems, procedures and methods for handling and storing materials.
• 4. Identify and process materials with visual damage, poor condition, improper packaging or storage.
• 5. Insure compliance with established safety rules and material handling and storage procedures.
• 6. Perform work of equal or lower skill as required.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• * High School Diploma/ GED.
• * Must be able to operate various types of material handling equipment to include but not limited to forklifts, overhead crane, pallet jack, and hand and power tools.
• * Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a daily basis.
• * Operate computer terminal.
• * Work independently with little direction.
• * US Citizenship required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• * SAP experience.
• * Warehouse inventory experience.
• * Forklift certification.
