Job summary

Gallagher is hiring interns nationwide for the Risk Management Data Analytics internship. You’ll work in the Risk Management Services division to leverage data, create visualization reports, and support business objectives.

Internship emphasizes data-driven insights, collaboration, and real-world impact. We seek sophomores/juniors with suitable graduation dates, proficient in Excel/PowerPoint, and familiarity with SQL-based tools.

Qualifications

• Sophomores and juniors with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2029.
• Availability to participate within program dates: June 7, 2027 - August 6, 2027.
• Proficient with Excel and PowerPoint; Access or enterprise database programs.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, SSRS, PowerBI, Tableau, or other data visualization software is a plus.
• Unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States; proof of work authorization may be required.

Responsibilities

• Creating Data Visualization Reports.
• Conducting primary and/or secondary research to identify required data to solve a business challenge.
• Packaging and presenting insights from analysis to clients and/or executive team.
• Answering complex questions by generating hypotheses and testing them with data.
• Building financial models to show impact of macro trends on Gallagher and its clients.

How you'll make an impact

• Creating Data Visualization Reports
• Conducting primary and/or secondary research to identify required data to solve a given business challenge and/or opportunity
• Packaging and presenting insights from analysis to clients and/or executive team
• Answering complex questions by generating hypotheses and quantitatively testing them; For example:
• Determining why injured workers at some companies return to work faster than at others, through analysis of data on hundreds of thousands of injured workers
• Identifying opportunities for specific companies to get workers back to work faster
• Writing white papers on trends that impact the insurance or workers' compensation industries
• Building financial models to show impact of macro trends on Gallagher and its clients
• Adopting Gallagher’s unique culture, the “Gallagher Way,” on how to ethically serve our external and internal clientele; Participating in various local community service events
• Assisting in various regional and/or branch projects to support Gallagher’s sales and service initiatives
