Job summary

U-Haul Holding Company is seeking a U-Box Customer Care Driver to deliver and relocate containers on local routes in Williston, VT. You will load/unload containers, operate equipment, and provide friendly customer service while following safety protocols.

Minimum requirements include a clean driving record, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a CDL/DOT certification. Training is provided for equipment operation and ongoing education through U-Haul University.

Qualifications

• Must have a clean motor vehicle record.
• DOT certification required and CDL preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload storage containers for delivery.
• Operate a flatbed truck and a forklift (training provided).
• Transport containers to and from customers' homes or businesses on local routes.

U-Box Customer Care Driver Responsibilities:

• Operate a flatbed truck (training provided).
• Operate an 8000-lb propane forklift or a truck-mounted forklift (training provided).
• Load and unload storage containers for delivery.
• Transport storage containers to and from specified destinations, e.g., customers' homes and businesses - local routes only.
• Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.

Minimum Requirements:

• Clean motor vehicle driving record
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Department of Transportation certification
• Commercial driver's license (CDL)
• Must be 18 or older

Work Environment:

The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts, machines, fumes or chemicals. May be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves or shields.

Physical Demands:

The work requires some physical exertion, such as long periods both indoors and outdoors while remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs assisted or unassisted.
