Job summary

U-Haul Company is seeking a U-Box Customer Care Representative (CCR) in Chandler, AZ. You will load and unload storage containers, operate a flatbed truck and a forklift with training provided, and transport containers to local destinations while delivering friendly, professional service to customers.

Minimum requirements include a clean driving record, a high school diploma or equivalent, a CDL, and a DOT certification.

Qualifications

• Clean motor vehicle driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Department of Transportation certification.
• Commercial driver’s license (CDL).

Responsibilities

• Load and unload storage containers for delivery.
• Operate a flatbed truck (training provided) and forklift (training provided).
• Deliver containers to customers on local routes.
• Maintain courteous, professional customer service and safety standards.
• Participate in ongoing training through U-Haul University.

U-Box Customer Care Driver Responsibilities

• Operate a flatbed truck (training provided).
• Operate an 8000-lb propane forklift or a truck-mounted forklift (training provided).
• Load and unload storage containers for delivery.
• Transport storage containers to and from specified destinations, e.g., customers’ homes and businesses – local routes only.
• Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.

Work Environment

The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts, machines, fumes or chemicals. May be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves or shields.

Physical Demands

The work requires some physical exertion, such as long periods both indoors and outdoors while remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs assisted or unassisted.
